CBH Books is the publication
line of Cambridge BrickHouse Inc., a publishing
company located north of Boston, Massachusetts. In addition
to helping authors publish their works, we provide
editorial services in several languages, and develop
scholastic programs for the United States education system.
We are a group of professionals dedicated to the
art of communication. Our team is made up of award-winning
writers, editors, proofreaders, translators, designers,
and illustrators. We also have a large production
staff equipped with the latest technology, as well
as marketing experts, professors, and journalists.

Yanitzia Canetti - President of Cambridge BrickHouse
Yanitzia Canetti has a Bachelor's in Journalism, a Master's
in Linguistics, and a Ph.D. in Latin American Literature.
Canetti has worked in the publishing industry for more than
fifteen years and has been the head of Cambridge BrickHouse
for more than ten years. She has published more than 30
books in several genres, including novel, poetry, short
story, theater, children's literature and books for young
adults. Fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian, Dr. Canetti has
translated classic American series like Dr. Seuss, Curious
George, and The Berenstain Bears. Dr. Canetti has received
numerous awards and distinctions throughout her long career

Dolores Calaf - Cambridge College Director
Dolores Calaf has a Bachelor of Arts in Education, a Master's
in Media Production from Emerson College, and advanced degrees
in Marketing and Business Management. Dr. Calaf is a specialist in
the areas of community relations, marketing, and communications.
She has more than 20 years of professional experience developing
educational programs in the private and public sectors. She has
received numerous awards, the most notable of which is the
International Business Woman's Award in 1980. Currently, Dr. Calaf is
the director of Cambridge College. Dr. Calaf and CBH work
together on educational material for this well-known institute
of higher learning.
Rosa Sánchez - Art Director
An energetic and enthusiastic art director, Rosa Sánchez has
extensive experience in art education. She studied at the
prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she
was involved with the MIT Community Fellows Program. She has
also distinguished herself as curator and owner of the Asor
Art Gallery, exhibiting the best of Latin American art, and her
support of art has earned her numerous distinctions in
publications such as the Boston Globe and Hispanic Image
Magazine. Currently, Ms. Sánchez directs a diverse group of
illustrators and designers that are in charge of the visual
concept of our publications. Her passion for art, education,
and literature make her a committed promoter and supporter
of writers and artists.
Gustavo Cádiz - Multimedia Director
Gustavo Cádiz has a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering
and Software Applications, and is also certified in sales,
marketing, and distribution. With his extensive knowledge of
multimedia, Mr. Cádiz has worked as a technology consultant
for several large corporations in the United States, Argentina,
Belgium, and Spain. His superior leadership and management
skills, combined with his in-depth knowledge of the field, ensure
constant development and modernization of our company, as well
as implementation of multimedia programs in our publication services.
Nadine Boyer - Project Manager
Nadine Boyer has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science as well as
extensive experience in the publishing industry, in the areas of translation,
editing, proofreading, bibliographical research, and copyrighting.
Before joining our team, Ms. Boyer worked for several important
publishing firms in her native country of France, where she organized
book fairs and exhibitions. Currently, Ms. Boyer uses her wide range of
experience to implement and direct our projects. Her vast knowledge of
world literature, combined with her passion for languages, make her
a valuable asset to our company. She is fluent in English, Spanish,
French, and Japanese, and is conversant in several Arabic dialects.
David Mallick - Executive Editor
David Mallick has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language and literature
from Middlebury College. Before joining our team, he taught Spanish at
both the middle-school and high-school levels, worked as a translator
for the Central American Technological Institute's engineering department
in Santa Tecla, El Salvador and studied at the International Institute
in Madrid. Mr. Mallick also has an extensive background managing the
translation of computer programs and web pages for companies such as
Microsoft, Hyperion Solutions, and Handspring. As executive editor,
Mr. Mallick incorporates his experiences in the publishing and education
fields to develop elementary, middle-school, and high-school-level
programs. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.
Manuel Alemán - Senior Editor
Manuel Alemán holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the
University of Havana, Cuba, studied at the Lensoviet Institute of
Technology in St. Petersburg, Russia, and has more than thirty
years' experience as a professor of general chemistry, inorganic
chemistry, and coordination compounds. Before joining our team, Dr.
Alemán worked as an editor of scientific texts at the
University of Havana and held the position of Associate Professor at the
Autonomous University of Nuevo León, Mexico, and the
University Agostinho Neto in Luanda, Angola. He was also an editor
and scientific consultant for the University of Granada, Spain.
Dr. Alemán is the author of several scientific texts,
and has published more than 30 monographs and scientific articles
in national and international journals. He is fluent in Spanish,
English, Russian, French, and Portuguese.
Cliff Clark - Senior Editor
Cliff Clark holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American
Studies from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, and
completed undergraduate studies at the Institute of Technology and
Higher Learning (ITESM) in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. Mr.
Clark has extensive professional experience as an English teacher
in Mexico and as a translator and developer of promotional materials
for the Monterrey Visitors' and Conventions Bureau. His extensive
knowledge and experience as an educator and translator in Latin
America further diversify our editorial team. He is fluent in English
and Spanish, is conversant in Portuguese, and studies Nahuatl as a hobby.
Priscilla Colón - Editor
Priscilla Colón has a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies
from Connecticut College, and conducted research studies in Madrid,
Spain. She has extensive Spanish and English tutoring experience at
the elementary school level in bilingual and ESL programs, and
professional teaching experience of middle-school Spanish. Colón
has worked as an English and Spanish translator and interpreter in
the private and public sectors. Her experience inside and outside of
the classroom, as well as her vast knowledge of Spanish and Latin
American history, literature and cultures make her especially qualified
to edit and develop English and Spanish-language material. She is
fluent in English and Spanish, and is conversant in French and Portuguese.
Margaret Faber - Editor
Margaret Faber holds a Bachelor's degree in German Language and
Literature, and a degree in Specialized German Translation from the
Complutense University in Madrid, Spain. She has a Master's in
International Relations, with a specialty in European Communities,
from the Ortega y Gasset University Research Institute. In addition,
she has completed coursework in translation at the Sprachen und
Dolmetscher Institute of Munich, as well as studies in modern
philology and Anglo-Irish and Celtic literature. Before joining our
team, she worked as a professor of language, literature, and social
studies, and translated German children's literature classics for
important Spanish publishers. Ms. Faber is proficient in German,
Spanish, English, French, and Dutch.
José Ortega - Production Manager
José Ortega holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in
Graphic Design from the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain,
where he has also worked as an Information Technology Engineer.
He has designed Web sites for distinguished figures such as Pedro
Almodóvar, Mario Vargas Llosa, Isabel Allende, Quino, and
Maitena, among others. He has also designed the largest flamenco
Web site on the Internet with services in three languages. As
production manager, Mr. Ortega utilizes his experience as a
graphic and Web designer to put technology to work for our authors.
During his free time, he participates in numerous international
symposiums on Internet usability and accessibility as they relate
to both current and future technology. In addition to his knowledge
of English and Spanish, Mr. Ortega is also conversant in French.
Carlos del Pino - Production Manager
An expert in musical and multimedia production and professor of art
and information technology, Carlos del Pino is a recognized producer
in the field of communications. He has taught at the university level,
and has created interactive projects for art education programs at the
elementary-school level. Moreover, he specializes in video, CD, and
digital program composition and production. As production manager, Mr.
del Pino is a crucial link between the technology and publishing
industries. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and German.
Raquel Welin - Graphic Designer
Raquel Welin is a graduate of the prestigious Advanced Institute of
Industrial Graphic Design in Havana, Cuba. She has extensive experience
as a graphic designer, illustrator, and photographer working for
companies in Cuba, Italy, and Sweden. Mrs. Welin's work includes
marketing campaigns for prominent publicity agencies, corporate logo
and image development for private organizations, and graphic design
prototypes for educational texts. As a voracious reader, one of Ms.
Welin's favorite tasks is designing and illustrating books. Today,
her illustrations are internationally recognized for her personal
style. Ms. Welin is fluent in English, Spanish and Swedish.
Yohanis Díaz - Graphic Designer

Laura Sobrado - Graphic Designer
In just a short time, Laura Sobrado has become a recognized
artist and art editor in the publishing industry. She has
extensive work experience in the book-publishing and newspaper
industries, and looks forward to completing her graduate studies
in Fine Arts and Graphic Design. Ms. Sobrado's work has earned
her numerous awards and distinctions, including the Scholastic
Art Award and the 6th Annual Budding Artist Award. Ms. Sobrado is
also a member of the Newburyport Art Association, and in her
free time, she does volunteer work at various community
organizations. In addition to English, her native language,
she speaks French and Spanish.
Julia Inés Ortiz - Director of Latin
American Operations
Julia Inés Ortiz has Bachelor's degree from the School
of Economic Sciences and a Master's degree in International
Commerce from the Argentine School of Business. Her professional
development also includes work with the Association of Importers
and Exporters of Argentina and the Ernst & Young Center for
Administrative Development, among others. Ms. Ortiz'
expertise ranges from finance and accounting to budgets and
forecasts to client and personnel management. With excellent
abilities in public and client relations, contracts, and business
administration, she serves as an important extension of CBH's team
throughout Latin America. Ms. Ortiz is fluent in Spanish and English.
Verónica
Molina - Office Manager
Verónica Molina comes from a family that has always
dedicated itself to business administration. During her time growing
up in Ecuador, she gained important skills while working in her
parents' and grandparents' business. Today, Ms. Molina is a graduate
of both business administration and accounting, and is in charge of
the inner workings of Cambridge BrickHouse. She handles both client
contacts and personnel management, deals with project contracts, and
is in charge of bookkeeping. Her ability to multitask, her enthusiasm
for undertaking new projects, and her fascination with books all serve
to make her an important part of the success of CBH's editorial work
and an untiring collaborator with our editorial and management staff.
